Two Gloves was founded by Scott Ingram in 2022, following a successful career running a digital marketing agency. After spending 15 years behind a desk, he found himself yearning to be outdoors and do something with his hands - other than typing emails.
One December afternoon, Scott was idly reviewing digital marketing analytics on his laptop. He noticed a trend for an unmet demand for gardening services in Perth. Could this be a genuine business opportunity?
With a marketing agency on hand to get a website and online presence fast, he set out to test the market over the Christmas holiday break.
The enquiries came in fast, and Scott was faced with the challenge of who would carry out the work. With no formal gardening experience, he grabbed some gloves, protective clothing, and basic tools. Borrowing a trailer to hitch to the Corolla, jobs were completed and – to his surprise and delight - 5-star reviews started pouring in.
By Easter, with demand growing, Scott had hired his first gardener. Of course, he soon realised that by bringing in experienced professionals and equipping them with quality power tools, Two Gloves could offer a higher level of service. This strategy sparked exponential growth and there are now four teams delivering over a combined 50+ jobs a week in gardens in the Perth northern suburbs.
With someone now running his marketing agency, Scott can dedicate more time to managing his gardening business. He now leaves the gardening to the experts, leading a highly skilled team of gardening professionals who share his passion.
“With a shared goal of becoming Perth’s most reputable gardening company, the team at Two Gloves is dedicated to delivering operational excellence and exceeding customer expectations – one garden at a time” - Scott Ingram
