Payment- Cash payments are not accepted. An invoice will be generated after the job is complete with bank details for direct transfer. Payment on the same day is appreciated, however not due for 14 days.
Unpaid Invoices- If a customer refuses to pay an overdue invoice, regrettably the amount will be reffered to a debt collector with the collection costs added to the outstanding balance. Please speak to us if your invoice causes any grief and we can arrange a solution.
Hourly Rate Per Person- We work in teams of two or three people and the hourly rate is per person. 1 hour of work is equal to 2 people working for 30 mins each.
Time Estimates- Where hourly rates are quoted with the word "estimate", the time quoted is not a fixed amount and the job may not be completed in that time. This is applicable to jobs with an incalculable nature of work with variables include plant sizes, depths of roots, volume of green waste, customer feedback on site, etc. We will get as much as we can done in the time allocated and can add additional time upon request according to availability.
Green Waste: Disposal Fees and Removal Time - Disposal fees are based on a set volume and varied depending on the actual volume of waste on the day e.g. if half a trailer load is quoted and a full trailer of waste is used then the quoted cost would be doubled. Removal Time is based on an hourly rate, we itemise travel time to to dispose of green waste at the nearest green waste transfer station separately for clarity.
Herbicide- Weed Killer Spray takes between 7 to 21 days to take full affect. It is dangerous for us (the operator) to apply but poses no risk to the residents of the house, including pets and kids. Simply allow enough time for the liquid to dry before entering the area. If uncertain, stay out of sprayed areas for a few hours to be extra safe. We hold the state required herbicide spraying licenses including: AHCCHM307 – Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases, AHCCHM304 – Transport and Store Chemicals, and AHCPMG301 – Control Weeds.
Digging Risk- When digging into soil we do so with care and caution, however there is a chance of damaging hidden underground objects, such as retic, water pipes, or wires. Should damage occur the customer will need to pay for the relevant trades persons to fix any damage. Making us aware of any hidden buried objects or marking them out can prevent this.
Long Grass Slashing Risk- When clearing overgrown grass there is an unpreventable risk of damaging objects hidden in the grass (commonly retic heads). The customer is responsible for any fixes, however we do carry spare parts and will attempt to fix any damage on the spot if possible. Removing hidden objects or marketing them with stakes or flags can reduce the change of damage.
Mulching- If we are supplying the mulch for you, payment for the mulch needs to be made up front to secure the order. Payment for installation can come after. When delivered the mulch may make a mess on the surface that it sits on.
Pets- Please note that if an area has not been thoroughly pooper scooped we will not be able to work in that area.
