Mowing and edging
- Client Sam needed assistance mowing his lawns.
- Sam has a lot of lawn on his property, plus it’s a corner block so there’s lots of space.
- Sam’s property also has a gated front yard with lawn and lawn out the back.
- We gave it all a good once-over with the mower and edged the driveways too.

Pruning Roses
We were excited to tackle this pruning job — pruning roses is always intense work but very satisfying at the end.
Being quite a tedious (and sometimes painful!) task, pruning roses is a job we’re often called out for.
Bryan had six medium-large Standard Roses (also called a “Rose Tree”) which had become overgrown and lacked proper pruning. Being unruly and entangled, with many dead branches, the overall growth and blooming of the roses has been diminished.
We started by identifying any dead or diseased branches, then pruned the entire rose bush. Then, we followed up with some light shaping (since these plants will soon flourish with ample greenery, the shaping isn’t too important at this early stage).
We advised Bryan on when the next prune should be to ensure a healthy plant with plenty of roses, then left the property with the green waste that had accumulated.

LAUREN

Weeding & Mowing
Lauren had quite a large front lawn that was more weeds than grass, which is very common after the winter-weed season.
The photos here are from our first visit where we sprayed all the weeds. Hand-pulling would have been impossible due to the variety of weeds that grow “out” rather than “up”.
On our next visit, we’ll remove all the dead weeds, mow and edge the lawn, and do a general tidy-up so Lauren can enjoy a nice clean front yard. This also paves the way for future healthy lawn to regrow in the areas the weeds had taken over.
