Tree Pruning & Green Waste Removal

Ray asked us to prune back the overgrown trees hanging over his property’s fence line. The trees were not only encroaching on the neighbouring property, but they were also pushing over his fence too, so he contracted us to prune the trees back and remove the green waste.

One of the challenges was that one of the trees was a bougainvillea which has lots of sharp thorny spikes, making it quite difficult to get close to and remove. The sheer volume of all the trees meant it was a pretty big job and we had to engage the help of several speciality tools to get the job done.

Petrol steel pole pruners, chainsaw and hedgers were used in combination with battery powered tools to access high and hard to reach branches.

The job.

Remove all weeds and debris from both carports, front/rear porch, pavements and lawn beds - front and rear: Either use a weed killer first - before cutting. Or the entire weed must be uprooted and removed. Prevent weeds from falling into pool (no whipper snippers) Trim back all plants/bushes in front/rear flower beds to minimum (must know what to do - i cannot provide any info on the plant/bush names). Remove all debris Remove misc rubbish Must have own tools and removal/tip tickets Must be able to upload pics of plants, weeds/roots dead/removed as i may not be available onsite to check.

A massive job, significant overgrowth that had been left for a while.
Complicating factor that power tools would put debris into the pool, and Jerry was particularly concerned about this.
First pruned back the trees front and back.
Second pulled out the fallen leaves from the garden beds.
Third pulled out the dead grass from the pavers.
Fourth used power tools to cut down the live couch grass in the pavers that were too tough to do by hand. Used a fly wire screen to stop cuttings entering into the water of the pool.
Fifth used a blower vac to suck up loose sand and debris surrounding the pool area.
Sixth, moved all garden waste onto the trailer (filled up an entire trailer to the rim, plus 6x 300L garden waste bags that sat on top of the trailer).
Seventh, used a blower to clear all pavers looking neat and tidy.
Eighth, pulled out all remaining weeds between the pavers.
Ninth, used path weeder spray and did a double application of future couch and weed growth from returning (for now anyway).
